We are a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities. Currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with supported employment in various settings including, our day options location, the community, and employment environments. This position is full time 35 hours per week.
Rate of Pay: $16.00 /Hour
Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 3:00pm
What you will do:
- Work with supported individuals on job searches, assist the individuals with completing applications and developing interview skills.
- Build and maintain a positive business relationships with the employers and the community to ensure successful placement for both the individual and business.
- Provide mobility training, coordinate or provide transportation for individuals, ensuring they learn all the various mobility options available in their community.
- Assist individuals to plan and participate in meaningful activities in the community.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living. (meal preparation, budgeting, schedule making, etc.)
- Patriciate in the Person Centered Planning meetings (PCP meeting) (formerly the Individual Planning Meeting)
What we are looking for
- High School Diploma
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
