Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking an enthusiastic School Psychologist to join our existing team of highly dedicated and successful professionals. The school psychologist works with stakeholders (e.g., students, parents, teachers, administrators) to support the learning and development of students across the age range (K-12 and transition) to help them succeed academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially. Currently looking for a school psychologist to work out of our Naugatuck Learning Academy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation and Intervention:
- Partners with school employees to develop and implement evidence based social, emotional, and behavioral programming. Delivers implementation of this programming at the systems, classroom, and individual levels. Communicates progress to parents and provides support as necessary.
- Psychological Assessment:
- Completes social/behavioral, academic, cognitive, adaptive, and transition assessments. Interprets findings and presents results to stakeholders (e.g., parents, district administrators, school employees).
- Relationships & Communication:
- Ensures a trauma aware environment for all students. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Specialist (e.g., 6th Year, Ed.S., CAS, CAGS) or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited university
- Current Certification in School Psychology (070)
- Team player with strong organization skills.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Satisfactory background checks.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Working Conditions:
As a School Psychologist, you will work primarily within the school setting engaging with students and staff. You may encounter challenging behaviors and situations, necessitating patience, empathy and effective behavior management strategies Physical aspects of the job may include bending, lifting and performing Physical Management Techniques (PMT) as needed. Occasional travel may be required.
