Hello Everyone –
Thanksgiving is a time for gathering. We gather with the people we love. We gather the harvest and we give thanks for what we have.
As the holiday draws near, we have much to be thankful for.
We have been tested mightily this year. By the ongoing pandemic and all that is required to keep everyone safe. By the workforce shortage and the long grind of overtime and unfinished work. By the sheer number of demands on our resources and requirements that must be fulfilled. And by the discomfort the comes from vulnerability and transformation.
As one agency, we have risen to meet these extraordinary challenges. The people we support are out living their lives, and moving forward. The Aspire community is strong, growing, and evolving every day. Each person at Aspire, in every role, has played a critical role. DSPs, Behavior Therapists, Teachers, and Shared Living Providers have delivered on the promise to create an environment where individuals are empowered. I am deeply grateful for your energy and the commitment it takes to achieve that.
I want to say thank you to all of you who have carried an extra burden this year due to the workforce shortage. When there are so many openings, I know the work falls heavily on your shoulders. I see it, the Executive Team and the Board see it too. We are carefully reviewing our resources to ensure that we are doing everything we can to support you and those who provide direct support throughout the Aspire community.
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Best regards,
Lou
