Foster Care
We work with a diverse group of young people in our foster care program. Some have developmental disabilities; others have significant medical conditions or physical limitations. All are experiencing current challenges within their biological families, and need a stable, loving environment in which they can thrive.
Although foster care situations are, by definition, temporary, a great foster family can have a permanent positive impact on a child. With that in mind, we select our families carefully, and we are very thoughtful as we place children with the family that is the best match for their needs, background and personality. Our foster families always play an active, collaborative role in placement decisions.
We support our foster parents with ongoing professional training, and our team is always ready to help coordinate services and community resources. Foster parents also receive a tax-free stipend for the care they provide.
